After the death of beloved member Phife Dawg in March 2016, pioneering rap group A Tribe Called Quest put the finishing touches on their final album; did a promo run to multiple late night talk shows; completed a large scale world tour; and performed their final concert ever on September 9th, 2017. Almost 2 years since the release of their album 'We Got It From Here... Thank You 4 Your Service', the legendary crew now releases 1 last sci-if video for latest single "The Space Program". The Warren Fu-directed visuals are a 8-min clip, where Q-Tip awakens alone in a space station, becomes an astronaut floating through zero-gravity, & travels to another dimension to play chess against a faceless white politician; all while a stream of civil-rights moments continually flash on computer screens. Even Phife Dawg's memory is portrayed mystically to channel his lyrics as well. A whole lot of guests show up for quick cameos too, including: Black Thought, Erykah Badu, Vince Staples, Pharrell Williams, Common, Talib Kweli, ?uestlove, Consequence, Rosario Dawson, Alicia Keys, Janelle Monae, & Anderson.Paak. An epic video & fitting end to such as classic hip-hop crew. Check it out!
