While rap trends have changed, 2 NYC veterans with roughly
20 years in the game each, show there’s still a certain charm & loyalty in street
music. “Dust & Powder”, the newest
single stemming from Jim’s 6th solo album ‘Wasted Talent’, is the
latest Shula The Don-directed video clip.
Over Heatmakerz production, we are shown overhead views of uptown;
various street signs; and footage of local churches & clubs. Jimmy gets to shoot dice, smoke with Jada,
post up with Cam’Ron & A$AP Ferg, party with Puff, and lean on his luxury
cars. The reoccurring massive night scenes
with their giant squadron behind them takes me back to the Ryde Or Die/DipSet heyday. Check
it out now…
Welcome to Doc's Mind. A no-holds-barred blog about what goes on in my life, and how my brain reacts to it. No subject is off limits, especially my loves for Hip-Hop, Music Review, Music Biz, Basketball, UFC, & Mythology. I don't expect everyone to agree with my opinions, so I leave it all open for discussion & argument. Also be sure to check our podcast called The Twisted Critics on spotify & all other platforms, hosted by Rapper A.M. & myself.
